QA TECHNIC International Food Standards
International Food Standards origin is Global Food Safety Initiative. Other big European Retailers have taken England as a role model and started to work with third party auditing bodies. As an example German and French retailers have started keeping IFS standard mandatory. Studies and cooperations like these have also begun in the USA.
It was first established in 2000 after food safety has been improved by Chamber of Commerce, the global Food Business Forum. It had 40 commercial members from Europe, North America and Australia in the beginning. GFSIs goal is to set a global food safety standard and to provide the enterprises sell their products more safely in the market. To ensure this, GFSI has set some key criterias and has brought food safety standards into a measurable form.

1) Demands to QMS
2) Responsibility of management
3) Management of resources
4) Production processes
5) Measurement, analysis and rehabilitation
