Calibration is a measurememt of the products conformity to reality.

Calibration: is a comparison between measurements-one of known magnitude or correctness made or set with one device and another measurement made in as similar a way as possible with a second device.



Metrology: Divided into three categories which are legal, scientific and industrial

Legal Metrology: Includes the calibration, kontrol and measurement of measuring devices which can be subject to life or commodity security audited by Ministry of Trade and Industry. In Turkey, the operations are running by city halls or industry or trade offices in cities. High carrying weighers, scales used in big shopping malls, jeweler scales, gas pumps, tension devices are included in these operations.

Scientific Metrology: TUBITAK sets the general rules and standards reference to other measurements and UME (National Metrology Institute) is responsible for the clibration of calibration measuring devices in Turkey.

Industrial Metrology: Industrial Metrology operations ran in accredited labarotories give calibration service to enterprises operating in production and service sectors according to EN 45001 standard.
