The revision work carried out by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), which is dedicated to advancing international practices in sustainable tourism, has been completed within the scope of GSTC Hotel Standard Version 4.0.

As part of this revision, the document previously published under the title “Requirements According to the 8 GSTC Criteria for GSTC Hotel Performance” has been updated and republished under its new title: “GSTC Certification Requirements for Performance in the Hotel/Accommodation Sector (April 2026)”.

The updated requirements include provisions related to the assessment of sustainability performance in the hotel and accommodation sector, the implementation of certification processes, and the execution of audit activities in compliance with GSTC requirements.
Within this framework, the relevant updates will be reviewed and the necessary adjustments will be incorporated into our certification processes. In addition, our auditors and current and prospective certified organizations will be informed about the updated requirements to ensure an effective transition process.

In accordance with the transition requirements established for GSTC Hotel Standard Version 4.0, compliance with the updated requirements will be ensured throughout certification activities.
